How To Sanitize Your Car, Truck or SUV
In the current climate we just want to offer some best practices in an effort to keep your vehicle as clean as possible and reducing the spread of any virus or germs.
First and foremost, soap is always your BEST bet. Ensure you are washing your hands before AND after using or entering any vehicle.
A good rule of thumb is to always clean areas that touch or come in contact each hour. Be sure to wipe down any areas that are touched by the human hand. This may include: doorhandles, door latches, lock buttons, seat belts, window buttons, radio, navigation or touchscreens and climate controls. Maybe some extra time at the steering wheel too! If you’re wondering what to use when you don’t have professional sanitization and cleaning solutions, we believe disinfectant wipes or soap and water tend to do the job.
In order to protect your vehicle we recommend AVOIDING these items in your vehicle interior.
-
Bleach
-
Solvents
-
Hand Sanitizer on your leather
Because hand sanitizer contains alcohol, we added it to the list of what to avoid, especially if your vehicle has leather seats and upholstery.
We always recommend that if you’re unsure, always test cleaners on a surface that can not be easily seen first.
Last but not least, if you are using chemicals to clean your vehicle, don’t let them linger. Wipe off what you wipe on!
If you feel you’d want a professional to detail and sanitize your vehicle, we’d be happy to help. You can find pricing on our DETAIL department page or CALL US for more details.
